The best game you can name took UConn by storm relatively recently. Huskies men’s hockey played their first season in 1960, with the women’s team following 40 years later in 2000. Despite that recent history, UConn has still produced its share of stars. The women’s team has several alumnae playing professionally and on their national teams; the men’s team has sent five players to “the show,” including Todd Krygier and active NHL forward Tage Thompson.
