New Mexico Lobos 1940s Mascot Vintage Heavyweight Tee

This vintage UNM Lobos design dates back to the midcentury, most likely the 1940s. Much like his logo book counterparts of the era, you’d find this mascot in a classic, collegiate sweater (as he is here), or a sailor hat. Prior to adopting the “Lobos” nickname and mascot, UNM athletic teams were simply known as the “University Boys” and the “Varsities.”
