Miami "U" Logo Joggers
In 1973, UM knew that many schools used those same two letters, and craved something more distinct for themselves. Graphic artist Bill Bodenhamer created the iconic green and orange split-U logo that did exactly what Miami was hoping to achieve. Fast forward to 1980, when John Rought, the university mascot at the time, coined the phrase āItās all about the U,ā a phrase now synonymous with this logo and with Miami.
