Auburn Tigers "War Eagle" Trucker Hat
While Auburn's official mascot is a tiger, they've kept a live eagle mascot on campus since the rise in popularity of the "War Eagle" legend. As the legend goes, a Civil War veteran with an eagle companion he met on the battlefield attended an Auburn-Georgia football game in 1892. The eagle began to soar around the field, leading Auburn players to chant, "War Eagle!" as a battle cry.
