Named for the Chaparral Club of the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, the Dallas Chaps wandered throughout the Lone Star State to find a suitable home. Still, though, as a founding ABA team, the Chaparrals’ persistence paid off–once they found their home in San Antonio, they rebranded as the Spurs.
